Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the Afghan Neighboring Foreign Ministers' Meeting in person. The foreign ministers of China and Russia attended the meeting through a video link. The first meeting of Afghanistan's neighbouring foreign ministers was hosted by Pakistan in September with the aim of establishing lasting peace in Afghanistan.
